Paying Court Fees

Effective July 1, 2023, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania will no longer accept cash payments.

Attorneys must settle charges through CM/ECF via Pay.gov using a debit card, credit card, or ACH (Automated Clearing House) payment.*

Self-represented Debtors may pay fees by mail, in person, or through the court’s online payment portal. The Clerk’s Office does not accept cash, personal checks from debtors, or third-party checks. If paying through the court’s online payment portal, acceptable forms of payment include debit card (preferred method), and ACH.*

If paying by mail or in person, acceptable forms of payment include cashier’s or certified checks, and money orders made payable to the Clerk, United States Bankruptcy Court. If making payment by mail, send it to US Bankruptcy Court, Max Rosenn US Courthouse, 197 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701 or US Bankruptcy Court, 1501 N. 6th Street, Harrisburg, PA 17102.

*Notice of filed payments- a $53 fee is charged for any failed payments, including those resulting from the entry of incorrect routing or account numbers, or insufficient funds available.
