Procedure Change re: Filing of Financial Management Certificates Effective 12/01/2013

Effective December 1, 2013, the amendment to Fed. R. Bankr. P. 1007(b)(7) provides an individual debtor the option of having an approved personal financial management course provider notify the court directly that the debtor has completed a post-petition instructional course concerning personal financial management. 

Approved personal financial management course providers must obtain a Limited User login for the court’s CM/ECF system in order to file with the court, the certificate of a debtor’s completion of a personal financial management course.  Electronic Filing Registration information for financial management course providers will be posted on the court’s website at:  http://www.pamb.uscourts.gov/content/electronic-filing-registration

New filing instructions for approved personal financial management course providers will be posted on the court’s website at:  http://www.pamb.uscourts.gov/content/filing-instructions
