PROCEDURE CHANGE FOR MOTIONS FOR A HARDSHIP DISCHARGE

Wednesday, February 21, 2024

Effective March 1, 2024, a debtor seeking a hardship discharge must file and serve on all creditors: (1) a motion for a hardship discharge; (2) a proposed order; (3) a notice of a 14-day objection period that will set a hearing no sooner than 7 days thereafter if there are objections; and (4) a certificate of service. The filing is self-scheduled and requires a semi-passive notice.
