Attorney Access

The Federal Judiciary has developed a Next Generation (NextGen) Case Management / Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) system that brings new functionality.  It will allow users to maintain a single login and password for electronic filing, PACER access, and billing for PACER and filing fees and viewing documents in all federal courts (bankruptcy, district, and appellate). This single login and password will allow access to all courts in which you have permission to file.  Our Court will go live on NextGen CM/ECF on January 13, 2020.  If you have a filing account for CM/ECF you need to take action now and after the upgrade is complete.   For additional information, please go to NextGeneration CM/ECF on our website.

Wednesday, January 8, 2020 will be the final day to register through this site for a login and password.  As of January 9, 2020, please following the below to register for your pacer account:

If you have not e-filed and do not have a PACER account, click this link (link is external) and complete the registration. If you need assistance choosing a registration option, use the Registration Wizard (link is external).

If you have a Pacer Account but have not e-filed, you must log in (link is external) with your upgraded PACER account and submit a new e-file request for the court:

  1. Log in to Manage My Account (link is external).
  2. Click the Maintenance tab.
  3. Click either Attorney Admissions/E-File Registration or Non-Attorney Admissions E-File Registration. Choose Court Type “U.S. Bankruptcy Courts”; Choose Court “Pennsylvania Middle Bankruptcy Court” – Then choose E-File Registration Only.

You will then need to wait for the court to process the request before e-filing privileges are activated.

To learn more about submitting a new e-file request, review the electronic learning module (link is external) for the Manage My Account Maintenance tab.
