 Overview:
This event is used to make a request of the court to shorten a deadline.  This event is not used to file a request for an expedited hearing.

AN ORDER FROM THE COURT IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO FILING A PLEADING WITH A SHORTENED DEADLINE. 

The filing should be accompanied by the Motion/Pleading, Proposed Order and a copy of the pleading for which you are seeking the shortened deadline (attached as an exhibit).  When required by Local Bankruptcy Rule 9013-3, a Certificate of Service must also be filed.

AFTER an order from the court is signed approving a shortened deadline you may then:

  1. Docket the Motion using the docket event Motion (Order entered shortening notice time); and
  2. Depending on the Motion being filed, it may need to be accompanied by the Motion, Notice of Motion, and a Proposed Order.  When required by Local Bankruptcy Rule 9013-3, a Certificate of Service must also be filed.
