Occasionally, in bankruptcy cases which have distributions, the trustee has money which he/she is unable to disburse. In those instances, the trustee is required to deposit those funds to the court as unclaimed funds. Unclaimed funds remain deposited with the Court until the person/entity entitled to those funds files an "Application for Payment of Unclaimed Funds" with the Court. Please note, in an effort to combat fraudulent claims, every complete Application for Payment of Unclaimed Funds will be scheduled for a hearing.
